Minister Gayton McKenzie has raised eyebrows over Chidinma Adesina's participation in the Miss South Africa pageant.
Since taking office, the Minister for Sport, Culture and the Arts has been using social media to voice her decisions and opinions.
When Twitter heavyweight Chris Exel asked the minister for his opinion on the case of Miss South Africa finalist Chidinma, the minister said he would look into the matter but would not support Nigerians taking part in the pageant.
“Just got back from Paris and will definitely have more information tomorrow. There is absolutely no way a Nigerian can compete in Miss South Africa. I would like to know all the facts before I comment but things are already starting to get weird,” he wrote.

Gayton also shut down the accounts of Twitter users who called on them to stop cyberbullying Chidinma.
“Am I to ignore the people who voted for me? Am I to ignore legitimate doubts? I will look into the facts and give answers. This is not gossip. The video raises legitimate doubts,” the minister wrote.
