Chikko, along with composer Themba Mkhize, has composed the music for Mzansi Magic TV series Queen Modjadzi.

“I was asked to produce the soundtrack, but this is not my first soundtrack; I have worked on several foreign films.”
“Mojadzi is my biggest production and I worked with Themba Mkhize, it was just the two of us. Of course, I had to do a lot of research before I started making it,” said the experienced musician.
In his version of the traditional song ModjajiChicco turned it into a disco ditty.
His version was a huge hit and was the subject of the 2016 British film ” My Brothers Grimsby Starring Sacha Baron Cohen and Mark Strong.
“They use the song in the ending scene and in the credits,” Chicco said.

Queen Modjaji A tale of a matriarchal dynasty with divine rain-bringing powers, the series also pays homage to the Balobedu people and their way of life.
The Mzansi Magic TV show is produced by Duma Ndlovu who also serves as executive producer.
Chikko, who hails from Ka-Bhungeni village in Limpopo, said he had no difficulty creating the music for the show.
“Storytelling wasn't that difficult for me, especially when it came to music. [Ka-Bungeni village] “There is the Balobedu people, I know their culture and I was also inspired by their stories… I think Duma Ndlovu has done a fantastic job and it has given me and Themba Mkhize a lot of ideas as well,” Chikko asserted.

“If you've seen the TV show, you know that it's all original. We didn't have to go rummaging through our library and choose existing songs composed by other filmmakers,” the veteran musician asserted.
“We are particular about creating our own sound. Most importantly, Queen Modjadji has a very rich history and Balobedu [people] And with music, you can't just go to a library and use music that doesn't relate to the Balobedu people. We had to go to the northern province (Limpopo) to understand the culture and the people.”
