Rondy London was accused of unpaid clothing bills by fashion business owner Fazanie Exodus.
According to Sunday World, the singer and the designer reached an agreement in 2019, which saw Londy wear her brand for free in exchange for promoting and marketing the label on social media and at high-profile events.
According to Exodus, the celebrity visited her boutique in Randburg, Johannesburg, and asked her to give him three items of clothing to sell to customers as she did not have the products she needed in stock.
She gave Star several items of clothing worth R17 000 to sell to customers but refused to pay for them.
“I didn't have any issues with her as she was an ambassador for my brand. I even told her that I don't have any issues as long as she continues to wear and promote my brand,” she said.
However, their relationship and partnership soured after Londy allegedly began manipulating things.
The singer reportedly visited the designer's store in Rosebank to pick up three pieces for the promotion, including a velvet suit and a wrap dress.
Fazanni said she was surprised that London had sent her R3,000 via her e-wallet instead of R17,000.
According to the designer, the singer explained in a WhatsApp message that he sent the R3k because he was fed up with the threats.
The singer further stated that the money sent was half the R7 000 worth of the clothes she had taken, even though she had not worn them as they were the wrong size.
“I thought about it and paid $7,000. Honestly, I don't want the hassle. I've been threatened enough. I haven't opened my package yet, but I've thought about it and I don't like what's going on.”
“You’ve been blackmailing me for years over payments we didn’t agree on because you couldn’t send me clothes that fit properly.
End of the month.”
The fashion business owner said that Zulu owed her R17 000, not the R7 000 she claimed, she also told Zulu that in addition to the R17 000, she owed him a further R8 500 for the clothes that Zulu had taken from her and caused her to lose.
