Busey is currently performing at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, giving South African athletes a taste of home.

Singer Busey gave South African athletes a taste of home when she performed for them at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Unlike American rapper Snoop Dogg, Busey wasn't able to stay on-site during the Olympics to cheer on the athletes.
“Although I didn't go to the stadium, I felt the incredible spirit in the streets around the city and in the fan park. Their 'Gee' is great but I have to say it can't possibly come close to our 'Philip'!”

Relaxation and performance
Before heading to Paris, Bussy hosted two nights of intimate performances at Flute Live in Rosebank, which sold out and fans were eager to see her perform as they hadn't seen her live in a long time.
“The energy from my fans was incredibly healing and uplifting. Their love and support truly filled my soul and reminded me of why I do what I do,” Busey asserted.
“The truth is, I never stopped performing,” she said.
“During the hiatus I was regularly performing across the continent and overseas, and just this past June I headlined a sold-out festival in Angola. Funny story (although it may not have seemed like it at the time), I almost got stranded in Canada just before lockdown but I made it home literally a day late.”
Recent months have not been smooth sailing for the singer-songwriter, with reports suggesting her marriage has fallen apart and that she is set to divorce her husband, but Busey was cautious about discussing the current state of her marriage with the publication.
“Although South Africans seem to be happy to speculate about my married life, I have never spoken publicly about it. My marriage is a sacred part of my life and I do not bring it into the entertainment world.”

music: Spreading good words through music
The 37-year-old vocalist will release a new single, ” A faithful She said the song is a testament to how she has lived her life.
