DJ Sbu, real name Sbusiso Leope, has humbly apologised after defending Miss South Africa finalist Chidinma Adetshina.
The businessman was speaking to the nation on Radio 2000 after the Ministry of Interior uncovered evidence implicating Chidinma's mother in fraud and identity theft.
The survey results have sparked outrage among South Africans, with many who had supported the model over the past few weeks cancelling it.
Speaking on air, Sbu apologised for his comments in support of Miss SA and called for justice to be served.
“I have never been arrogant. I am an advocate for youth success, for young people chasing their dreams. I am humble while the law is being enforced. I would like to apologise to anyone who has been offended by something I said on social media regarding the Miss South Africa pageant. I make no excuses but I do apologise. I am also a South African and I love young people achieving great things,” he said.
“If I am breaking the law then I will have to follow the law but I would like to apologise to anyone I have offended,” DJ Subu added.
