Thembi Seete has mourned the death of legendary actress Connie Chiume, who passed away earlier this week.
Thembi posted a heartwarming message on Instagram describing the bond between the pair, and also spoke about the pain she has felt over Konnie's death.
“It's painful to talk about how you're gone so I'm taking some time to reflect on the memories we shared. But I'm still grateful for the time we spent together. You treated me like a daughter and showered me with love and warmth. I'm truly blessed to have experienced it with you,” she wrote.
“Gomorrah Family, we owe our unity in large part to your parental guidance. 🙏🏾❤️You effortlessly navigated the gap between mentor and friend, making us feel understood and heard. I will always remember your generosity and kindness, like when Black Panther surprised you with a check and spoiled us with food and treats to celebrate.”
“Lunchtimes on Tasha's couch were always fun times, filled with lively conversation and laughter. I remember me asking, 'Dimples, what are you celebrating?' and you replying, 'Baby, I'm thanking my family because Black Panther gave me money!' Your humor and warmth made our times together unforgettable.”
“As your work neighbour for four years, I cherished our conversations and enjoyed your humour. Though you are no longer with us, your memory and impact lives on in my heart,” Thembi Seete concluded her note.
