The Minister was satisfied with Mr Khaw's apology.
Minister for Sport, Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie responded to comedian David Cow's apology on Tuesday.
“Thank you for your apology. I have the utmost love and respect for you and your work.
“I’m excited about the difference we can make with the help of people like you who have such a passion and compassion for comedians.
“The apology is wholeheartedly accepted. Let's work our magic,” MacKenzie said on social media.
“Please accept my apology” – Kau
Khaw's apology comes after he recently lashed out at the lack of recognition and support for comedians.
The comedian made the remarks on X, sarcastically criticising McKenzie's eagerness to get involved with stand-up comedians.
After being heavily criticised by internet users, Khaw admitted he could have taken a “better approach” and “taken the right steps”.
“I did not intend or imply that my tweets would give any false negative impression about your role.
“The evidence of the work we have accomplished in such a short time is right there for people to see.
“Whatever issues there are in the comedy industry can wait as there are more pressing issues. We trust that you will do your best to support all of arts and culture,” he said.
“I am embarrassed to have caused unnecessary negative impressions. Please accept my apology,” Khaw apologised in X's post.

A clever apology?
While many, including Gayton, accepted the comedian's apology, others were not satisfied.
The apology was manipulative, laced with sarcasm and emotional blackmail, they said.
“Whatever issues there are in the comedy industry can wait as there are more pressing issues. I trust you guys to do your best to support all of the arts and culture,” one user said. Honestly, this part is unnecessary.
“At this point I'm not sure if this is a joke or what,” added another user.
