Radebe, nicknamed “Chief” by Leeds fans, made 256 appearances for the English club between 1994 and 2005.
Another Leeds Football Club fan has named his children after former Bafana Bafana captain Lucas Radebe.
“We've named our first baby boy Lucas. Born 10th August 2024. He's already a huge Leeds fan,” one fan announced on social media.
“Wow, congratulations Gary. Welcome Lucas to the land of abundance. May God bless him to fulfil his talents,” Radebe replied.

Radebe moved to England in 1994 after the English club signed Philemon Masinga for an initial fee of £250,000.
Radebe was reportedly included in the deal to please Masinga, but he has since become a club legend, serving under former Arsenal manager George Graham, who was named Leeds captain and nicknamed “Chief”.
Radebe made 256 appearances for the club between 1994 and 2005.

Recent baby Lucas is not the first child to be named after the South African player – after a fan shared that they had named their son after Radebe in 2019, many more club supporters took it upon themselves to share photos of their own Lucas babies.

Mokwena brings Myra.
Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena, who joined Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca after leaving the Tshwane club, said in an interview that he had considered taking a sabbatical after leaving Downs.
“I thought about it a lot but I'm 37 now, why should I take time off?” Mokwena said in an interview.
“My career is just beginning. I've been fortunate to have coached three great football clubs on the African continent. I've had a career where I don't feel like anything was handed to me.”
A brilliant tactician like Mokwena is highly sought after and had other offers coming his way but he explained why he decided to go to Morocco instead of taking other opportunities.
“I can say that the only reason I chose Wydad out of the many options available is because of their passion, commitment and determination to bring me to the club,” he said.
One of Sundowns' former players, Cassius Maira, is set to join Wydad Athletic Club following a move from Canadian side Toronto FC.
