Nkosazana Daughter and Master KG's joint album reaches gold status before official release

The album has been generating excitement among fans since it was announced a few weeks ago, and it was finally released this Friday.
According to Thricourt, the album was a lauded success even before its release.
At the album listening party, the musicians were presented with commemorative plaques in celebration of the album achieving gold status before its official release.
“@nkosazana_daughter and @masterkgsa's new album 'Makhelwane' has gone gold today before its official release,” Srikur captioned the post.
However, social media users refused to believe the news, describing it as impossible.
“OK, I'm going to be stupid here and ask how. Before we start making all sorts of assumptions, can you please clarify the 'before official release' part? For the record, let's do the math: Gold album = 10,000 units. 1 unit = 1,200 streams. So, Gold: 10,000 x 1,200 streams = 12,000,000 streams. So, the album hit 12 million streams 'before official release' and the plague was already ready,” the comment read.
“What on earth is going on 🤔. Don't dismiss my amateur beliefs,” wrote a follower.
