This is not the first time that Chikko Twala has arrested Longwe Twala.
The case against renowned musician Chicco Twala's two sons over alleged theft has been adjourned.
Longwe Twala and his brother Thelo were reportedly arrested on suspicion of theft and appeared in the Randburg Magistrate's Court on Monday.
Longwe appeared in the same court on Wednesday but the hearing was adjourned until September 12 for a bail application as he has a previous conviction for shoplifting.
His brother, Cero, was exonerated and did not appear in court; charges against him were dropped due to lack of evidence.
Longwe Twala's theft history
Hlongwe is alleged to have broken into his father's house while under the influence of drugs and stolen items worth more than R200,000.
The stolen items included clothing, household items and equipment.
This is not the first time Chikko Twala's son has been arrested – in 2020, Longwe was handed over to Diekkloof Police Station for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.

Chicco's Concerns
Chicco admitted to the press that his sons had committed the theft while he was on a business trip to the United States.
“Longwe, whom I got rid of some time ago because of his drug addiction, jumped a high wall, entered my studio and stole some of my things,” Twala said.
talk E-commerce Outside court on Wednesday, Twala expressed concern about her son's behaviour and said she thought the best place for him was prison.
Twala acknowledged Longwe's drug problem, stressing that it had resulted in him becoming a thief.
Twala said Hlongwe had been using drugs since he was 18 and accused his son of stealing from others, including family members.
“As a parent, I can't just stand by and watch my son go astray and steal, especially from my family,” he said.
“I have warned him many times but he shows no sign of repenting or changing.
“So we decided that maybe the best place for him would be prison. Maybe he'll come back a better person,” he said.
