Thulisile Phongolo is trending on Twitter following his collaboration with Mas Musiq on the Amapiano track “Ubuhle Bakho.”
Though primarily known as an actress, Thuli P has branched out into the music world as a DJ and is now expanding her repertoire by collaborating with other artists.
However, tensions have been building since the controversy over Something Soweto not being credited on Mass Music's previous album, Amalanga Awafani.
DJ Maphorisa has come under fire on social media with many believing he played a role in exploiting the singer.
This Friday, Mas Musiq released a new single, “Ubuhle Bakho,” featuring DJ Maphorisa and Thuli P.
The announcement sparked outrage on social media, with users accusing Maphorisa of favouritism and claiming that Thuli was given credit over Something Soweto because of their past relationship.
See how social media users reacted to the song below:
Now we have to listen to someone with no talent like Abo Tulli P. just because she is dating a well-known gatekeeper of Amapiano. 🚮🚮 pic.twitter.com/W7s7jPql8r

Mas Musiq has released a track with Thuli P titled ubuhle bakho.
It's safe to assume that Thuli P only contributed to the song title. She's definitely sexy.
Thuli P has suddenly become an artist and is just following the trend like other female celebrities but has no talent whatsoever. pic.twitter.com/ps5BL5sabK

DJ Maphorisa has never featured Thuli P on any song since he slept with him. However, he is now using Mas Musiq to feature Thuli P and use him as a pawn. This man is disgusting and we South Africans should not be attending Maphorisa's events. He should be cancelled. Rubbish. pic.twitter.com/ethOJ3j0GW

Mas Muziek confidently praised Thuli P for absolutely doing Fakhor but failed to praise Something Soweto, which we all sang.
Listening to Maphorisa makes me stupid
