James Earl Jones is an acclaimed and award-winning American stage and film actor, known for the deep, resonant voice that created iconic classics. Star Wars The actor who hoped to bring villain Darth Vader back to life has died at the age of 93.
Jones' agent, Barry McPherson, said the legendary actor, who had struggled with diabetes for many years, died at home on Monday surrounded by his family. The cause of death has not been officially released.
Star Wars Creator George Lucas paid tribute to Jones after his death, calling him a “beautiful human being.”
Career
Jones also voiced King Mufasa in the Disney animated film. The Lion KingHe had a prolific and varied career.
For more than six decades, he worked alongside some of the greats of film and theater, including Stanley Kubrick in the 1964 Cold War satire “Dr. Strangelove.” AFP Reported.

Darth Vader
Darth Vader's hulking physical form was provided by the towering British actor David Prowse, but the eerie voice emanating from within the reconstructed masked man was Jones's.
And Jones delivered some of the most memorable lines in the Star Wars films, including when he tells a young Luke Skywalker, played by Mark Hamill, “I'm your father.”
Hamill shared the news of Jones' passing on social media on Monday, writing simply, “#RIP Dad,” along with a broken heart emoji.

Highly rated
Jones has received three Tony Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, two Emmy Awards, a Grammy Award, and an Honorary Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement.
In 1971, he became the second black man, after Sidney Poitier, to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor.
