DJ Maphorisa responds to Samthing Soweto’s claims regarding the master ownership of his music.
Early on Tuesday morning, Something wrote a series of tweets about how Foli had exploited him, especially in the song. IsfitifitiBecause sovereignty was not given to him.
“translation: “He shouldn't lie. It will get him in trouble one day. I paid Forie's master's degree. I paid him what he asked for at the time. Moreover, I lied about Forie's contribution to my project. He produced nothing.”
“They are using my work without any permission, contract or consent. They just put my work out there without even telling me the release date. When I ask them what is going on, they rush onto social media to discredit me before I can tell them the truth,” he added.
DJ Maphorisa posted the video in response to all the information being circulated on Twitter about Soweto.
Forie made it clear that Something couldn't own all the masters, and that the reason he invoiced the vocalists was to pay him.
The DJ revealed that the singer's money may also be refunded.
“WI would also like to own the Amanton Bazan Master, so please send me the invoice and I will pay you easily. “@samthingsoweto,” he captioned the post.
Maphorisa said he was tired of discussing the issue over and over again.
