DJ Tshegu, real name Tshegofatso Phetlhu, has been accused by critics of being a producer.
In a recent conversation Piano PulseOn the podcast “ ” under the Podcast and Chill network, one of the podcasters spoke about women who claim to be both DJs and producers.
Tseg was told he couldn't sing and was dragged off to the stage.
The podcaster issued a challenge to the DJ, offering him R100,000 if he could produce a song in his studio.
The allegation has received mixed reactions, with some mocking it while others defended DJ Tshegu.
“Does this guy understand there's a difference between producing and making beats, you don't necessarily have to make a beat to produce a song. Does he think Maphorisa or DJ Khaled make beats,” wrote a Twitter user.
“Not all female DJs can't produce. Thandi Dry is a great afro house producer and can sing too,” wrote another.
“Don't take the money, let the work speak for itself. If they don't believe in it, you don't have to convince them because they've already made their decision by pushing Spain. You convince Leo,” one of the fans told the DJ.
DJ Tshegu laughed off the allegations.
