Mdoda, who will be hosting the Content Creator Awards, is in Canada to promote the film, which he executive produced.
Anele Mdoda has been announced as the presenter of this year's DSTV Content Creator Awards.
The announcement came just before the film, which she produced, premiered at Canada's Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Thursday.
“I'm going to give it my all as this year's host because the creators deserve a show as bold and dynamic as they are,” the 947 jock said.
The awards recognise expressive content creators online across a range of disciplines, from fitness, beauty, automotive and anything that takes place in the virtual space.
For the first time, the awards ceremony will be held at Nelson Mandela Square on 12 October, with an after-party hosted by Channel O at the nearby Hard Rock Cafe.
“The energy, creativity and absolute magic these creators bring to the table is mind-blowing! Get ready for an evening full of surprises, laughs and standout moments as we celebrate the incredible talent shaping the future of South African entertainment,” Mdoda said.
This year's Content Creator Award nominees were announced at the Radisson RED Rooftop in Rosebank last month and include: Husband Sifo cooking and Cooking with Zanele Gourmet section.
Actress Linda Mutoba was nominated for the Trendsetter Award alongside Nabila Kareem and Kanisa Unfiltered.

The film is produced by Rose & Oaks Media, a company founded by Mdoda, Frankie du Toit and Paul Buys.

Don't go see the dog tonight Directed by Embeth Davidtz, the film is based on the novel of the same name by New York bestselling author Alexandra Fuller.
“This incredible story is brought to life by South Africa's rich history and traditions. I have also enjoyed working with our incredible cast and production team and commend them for their incredible commitment and heart,” the director said.
The film stars eight-year-old Lexie Venter as Bobo and Embeth Davidtz as Bobo's grieving mother Nicola.
Other cast members include Jikona Bari, Humani N. Silvana, Rob Van Vuuren and Anina Reed.
TIFF will run from September 5th to September 15th, 2024.
