Organisers of DStv Delicious Festival have announced that Janet Jackson's performance will be cancelled following the death of her brother.
“Following the death of his brother Tito Jackson, Janet Jackson “She will not be able to appear at DStv Delicious Festival as planned. Our deepest condolences go out to her and the Jackson family at this extremely difficult time,” the post read.
The American music star created excitement in the hearts of South Africans after he was announced as the headliner of the festival.
However, people are left heartbroken by her decision to cancel the show.
Fans flooded the post offering their condolences to Janet and her family and demanding refunds.
“So sad, but for those who bought tickets for both dates, is there any way to get a refund if I no longer want to go? In my case, I was planning to go see Janet with some mates so that's no longer an option. Is there any option for a refund?” she tweeted.
“Can I have a refund please? I bought tickets for Saturday because I wanted to see her. If I had wanted to go on Sunday I would have bought tickets for Sunday. This is ridiculous.”
Give us our money back… if you advertise Janet and she's not there, give us a refund for some of us who bought tickets to see her
