Doja Cat wowed audiences at this weekend's Global Citizen Festival in a South African flag-themed dress.
This prestigious festival was held in New York City's Central Park on Saturday, September 28th.
During her Global Citizen performance, Doja Cat gave a powerful speech about the global crisis.
She cited suffering in areas such as Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan and Congo, and called for increased advocacy for food, shelter and education for people affected by conflict and violence.
“Right now, millions of men, women and children are suffering in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, Congo and around the world. In times like these, we need change, love, light and hope. It is important that together we remember that we have the power to bring to those who need it most.
“I am joining forces with Global Citizen to support people in areas of conflict and crisis. And I hope many of you will join me in winning a ticket to be here tonight. I know I'm taking action. But I can't stop it now.”
The singer also appealed to the audience to take action and continue to raise their voices in support of those affected by conflict and violence.
“Please continue to speak out so that people fleeing violence can get the food, shelter, and education they need and so desperately deserve.
“There is beauty and strength in all of you watching this and in all of you who have chosen to be here tonight, and now is the time for us to channel it into what matters most: life.”
