Chris Brown's upcoming concert at Johannesburg's FNB Stadium sold out in less than three hours.
In an extraordinary display of fan enthusiasm, tickets for American singer Chris Brown's concert at Johannesburg's FNB Stadium were sold out within three hours, filling 94 venues with a capacity of 700 people.
The concert, scheduled for December 14, 2024, is part of Brown's highly anticipated tour of South Africa.
Fans snapped up tickets as soon as the show started, and excitement grew for the American R&B superstar's return to South African soil.
This level of demand is reminiscent of Justin Bieber's 2013 performance at the same venue, where tickets sold out in just a few hours for young fans.
However, not all major artists achieved similar success in Johannesburg.
Naysayers drew comparisons between Brown's show and Burna Boy's recent controversial concert at FNB Stadium, but ticket sales were slow and ultimately they were unable to fill the venue. There wasn't.
In response to overwhelming demand, concert organizer Big Concert has added a second date.

Big Concert is urging fans not to buy tickets from secondary resellers like Viagogo, which are notorious for high prices and unauthorized sales.
Tickets purchased from unauthorized sellers will not be admitted and will not be refunded to fans.
All tickets to Chris Brown shows will be 100% digital, mobile-only tickets available through your verified Ticketmaster account.
