Popular South African socialite Mpho wa Badimo has opened up about his sadness over the death of his mother.
The former BBMzansi winner shared a photo of himself with a shaved head and revealed that he decided to get a shaved head in honor of his late mother.
She wrote on social media how her grief had moved to a new stage.
“There's something about grief that changes you forever. You don't just grieve the death of a loved one, you grieve the person you were before the loss. It wasn't an easy transition, but the pain… I slowly learned to live with it and accept grief as part of the journey.”
“My grief slowly faded from the dark space and I found my light and strength to welcome back the new energy of healing, grace, and letting go, because grief is just love with nowhere to go. Get over it because I learned the best thing to do is to.” ”
“Our hair is our crown and removing it is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of respect, honor and remembering our strength. In honor of my mother, I shaved their hair as a sign of respect and self-healing and letting go, because our hair holds energy, memories, and sometimes the trauma and pain we have experienced in our lives. It releases that energy and brings healing to both mind and body.”
“I cried enough tears to fill the ocean and mourned my mother's death, but what do you think? Rain makes flowers grow, and in life do you choose to die depressed and writhing in pain? , or choose to take back your power and rise like a phoenix!”
