Discover Elvis' last moments
Lisa Marie has shared the heartbreaking memory of discovering her late father Elvis Presley in 1977.
In her book, Lisa Marie describes her realization that she would be left alone with her mother, Priscilla Presley.
Elvis died of a heart attack on August 16, 1977, at his Graceland home in Memphis, Tennessee, when Lisa Marie was just nine years old.
Elvis Presley's body lay in an open casket at Graceland for two days. After the crowd left, Lisa Marie Presley quietly returned and “spoke to him, touching his face and holding his hand.”
“Even as an adult, there are nights when I get drunk and listen to his music and cry. The sadness is still there. It never really goes away,” Lisa Maria said.
Ms Keogh believes her mother never fully accepted the loss.
In an interview with the BBC, she said that as a child she felt angry at her famous grandfather. Even though many years had passed since his death, she couldn't help but associate his music with her mother's pain.
