Zandi Khumalo has defended her sister Kelly Khumalo, while calling for an investigation into Senzo Meyiwa's widow, Mandisa Mkhize.
Senzo's murder has been going on for years, but it is unclear who ordered the hit on the soccer star.
Senzo was shot on October 26, 2014 at his girlfriend Kelly Khumalo's home in Voslooros, Ekurhuleni.
Zandi told eNCA that the killers were found to be from Nongoma, Mandisa's hometown.
Mr Zandi said he tried to mention the above findings to Brigadier General Bongani Gininda, the lead investigator in the Ssenzo murder trial.
The singer also tried to find out who was paying the accused's lawyer.
“Who's paying them? We all know these people (defendants) are doing a terrible job, and some of them were dancers at some point. They don't have the capital to hire these people (lawyers) to represent them. Lawyers are the “bad guys” but they are paid after all. Who is paying them? ” she said.
“Msholoro stays in Durban and flies to Joburg every time she needs to represent the fifth defendant. Who pays for the hotel? Who pays her? What's more, she has a partner. If the police have to follow the money trail, maybe something will come out, but we don't know.”
Zandi said Kelly did not order the hit.
“She didn't have the ability to order hits at that time. You also have to consider that she was on the verge of returning to the (music) industry because she had been out for a while.”
“I mean, given that she didn't have the capital and that she loved him. She had more to lose. She had nothing to gain, so to me that's where the motivation lies. There wasn’t,” she said.
