Miss South Africa 2024 Mia Le Roux has officially withdrawn from the Miss Universe pageant, citing health concerns.
The Miss South Africa Organization confirmed the news in a statement released on Friday morning.
“It is with deep regret that we share the news that Mia Le Roux, Miss South Africa 2024, has had to withdraw from the Miss Universe pageant due to health concerns,” the statement read. It's dark.
Mr Le Roux expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from South Africa.
She said the decision to quit the pageant was a difficult one because she knew the dreams and hopes that were set for her.
He added, “However, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to focus on my health and recovery so that I can continue to serve my country to the best of my ability.”

Mia Le Roux is the second person to leave the tournament this year
Le Roux's withdrawal follows another withdrawal from the Miss Universe Panama and Mora, Italy competitions.
Mora was disqualified from the 2024 Miss Universe pageant after reportedly leaving her hotel room without permission earlier this month.
In a statement, Mora claimed that he was preparing for the gala event but had no idea that his actions would lead to his disqualification.
Miss Universe officials confirmed Mora's disqualification and said the decision was made after a thorough review by the Miss Universe Disciplinary Committee.
“The Disciplinary Committee, which is responsible for upholding the integrity and values of the pageant, has conducted a full audit of this matter and, based on the information gathered and considered, withdrawing is the most appropriate course of action in the current circumstances. We have come to the conclusion that this is the policy.”
“Confidentiality is a fundamental pillar of any disciplinary process. By protecting confidential and personal information, we not only ensure fairness and impartiality in decisions, but also the dignity of all involved. “Miss Universe continues to be a platform for inspiration and positive change in the world,” the statement read.
The 2024 Miss Universe winner will be crowned this weekend, November 16th, in Mexico.
