Mia withdrew the day before the women's team competed for the title.
The Miss South Africa organization announced on Friday that Miss SA 2024 Mia Le Roux has withdrawn from the Miss Universe competition.
The group said Le Roux withdrew, citing health concerns.
“Mia has shown incredible courage and grace through this difficult time. Her health and well-being are our top priority and we stand by her side and wish her strength. We are dedicated to ensuring that you regain and return to full health.

“Our hearts are with her as she takes the necessary steps to recover,” the Miss South Africa organization said.
Ms Le Roux thanked the South African public for their support during her time competing in the Miss Universe pageant.
“I am deeply grateful for South Africa's unwavering support during my time as Miss Universe. Knowing the dreams and aspirations that were given to me, this decision was incredibly difficult to make,” Le Roux said. Ta.
“However, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to focus on my health and recovery so that I can continue to serve my country to the best of my ability.”
Le Roux departed South Africa at the end of October and was bid farewell at OR Tambo International Airport, wearing clothes designed by Juan Alia William.
The 73rd Miss Universe pageant will be held on November 16th in Mexico City, Mexico.
South African representative: “I will do my best”
Last month, Ms Le Roux expressed her excitement about the opportunity to represent South Africa on the Miss Universe stage. She added that she wanted to showcase the diversity of her country.
“I want to highlight the beautiful diversity of our country and show that it is our greatest strength.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to have my voice heard. I want to shine a light on the world's blind spots while holding my beautiful homeland in my heart,” she said at the time.
Le Roux also spoke passionately about his journey so far, acknowledging the challenges he has faced.
“Someone once said that I did well at Miss South Africa because of the struggles I represent. But I say I did well because of the victories I represent and I believe that is my advantage. .
“My parents were worried about whether I would ever speak, but now I have the exact same voice and they are hearing it like they have never heard it before.

“I speak for all those who are excluded, with the goal of bringing them a future of hope and opportunity. I will do everything I can to make them and all South Africans proud. I intend to do my best.”
