crime thriller Daibiru will return for Season 6 in January 2025, making history as kykNET's longest-running drama series.
This time, Pete Bill and his team face off against a relentless serial killer determined to torment them, while also wrestling with their humanity.
Waldemar Schultz returns as the devoted Bill, along with detectives Juan (Marvin-Lee Beukes) and Lena (Rica Berning), legal expert Nicky (Milan Murray), and former assassin weapons expert Joe ( He leads a team that includes Amalia Uis.
Captain William Miller (Tyrone Keogh) will continue to provide expert profiling, and season 5 pathologist Dr. Anton Hooley (Marcel van Heerden) will also return.
New faces and fan favorites
New faces include Melissa Willing as Elian Three, a fragile but dangerously intelligent character, and Roelyn Danneil as ruthless scientist Dr. Elise Opperman. Sherman Faro plays Daniel Wares, a former police officer and private investigator who helps Dr. Opperman.
Fan favorites also return, including Danny Ross as Benjamin Vlok, Sean Van Noordwyk as web developer Stephen, and Ronnell Stander as Captain Talina Spieth, who dreams of joining Vile's team. The star-studded cast includes Melanie Du Bois, Hannes van Wyk, Pascual Wakefield, and veteran legends Johan Botha and Lida Botha.

This season also features fascinating cases of family conflict and hidden secrets, including a grandfather who torments his grandson and a famous author with a dark past.
The series was originally developed by the late Herman Binge and Elmarie Botha, with Leon Krueger taking over as head writer and story direction from Season 2 onwards.
6th season of Daibiru Written by Botha, Bardeen Berger, and Lorraine Berger. Bardeen Berger, Liesl Spieth, and Nina Swart were in the director's chair.
The talented team behind the scenes includes cinematographer Jay Marais, sound designer Juan Kindo, and makeup artist Surani Seiman.
