Keenan Forbes, known as AKA, continues to be loved even after his death. This time it's from fellow rapper Cassper Nyovest.
The two had long been considered bitter rivals due to a highly publicized feud that lasted until AKA's untimely death in Durban.
The rapper was tragically shot and killed outside a restaurant, and the gunman was still at large.
Surprisingly, Casper paid tribute to the late star at a recent show, performing AKA's hit song. all eyes on me Featuring Burna Boy.
The performance drew cheers from the crowd, but also generated mixed reactions on social media.
Rapper El Tido shared a video of the performance on Twitter, captioning it, “Were they really enemies??” The post quickly went viral and sparked a conversation among fans.
Some reminded others that AKA himself had played Casper's songs during his lifetime.
One user said, “Mega did the same thing once. I don't remember you asking this question then.”
However, some questioned Casper's intentions and accused him of exploiting AKA's music for personal gain.
“AKA is gone so this is pure exploitation for relevance,” one user wrote.
