South African Twitter personality Chris Excel recently caused a stir on social media with a post targeting single mothers.
The self-proclaimed “Black Twitter President”, who is known for his outspoken personality, has slammed single mothers, claiming that many are sleeping through the holidays to get rich.
Chris shared a photo of a man and woman in an intimate moment and used it to illustrate his point. He captioned the image: “Single moms rushing for Christmas outfits right now.”
The tweet sparked outrage and various reactions. Many defended single mothers, but a few sided with Chris and ridiculed single mothers.
one user wrote: “Folks, we cannot continue to say such hurtful things about single mothers, especially black men, because we are the ones who keep them single and run away from our responsibilities.”
Another user added: “I have to say this tweet is extremely degrading and stupid. Many single mothers are real-life heroes, working hard and raising their children right. This tweet from a man is wild It's not all a joke.
“If a single mother senses emotion, you've hit the mark.”
