Shepherd Bushiri, founder of the Enlightened Christian Gathering International Church, has praised South Africa for celebrating Chris Brown's sold-out FNB Stadium concert that attracted 94,000 attendees. He expressed his disappointment to the media.
On his Facebook page, Bushiri criticized the media for disproportionately focusing on American artists while ignoring his own achievements at the same venue.
Bushiri hosted the event at FNB Stadium and highlighted that up to 110,000 people participated in the crossover night prayers.
Despite this, he claimed that the South African media ignored his record-breaking event, even though FNB management publicly acknowledged his attendance.
Bushiri wrote in his post: “Chris Brown's concert at FNB Stadium drew a crowd of 94,000, and the South African media went wild, hailing him as the 'biggest crowd'. It's a shame. They are trying to turn a blind eye to my rally in the same stadium, where 110,000 people attended my prayers for the fourth year in a row, a record high. So far, no South African media has written about this, even though FNB management has publicly posted about it. ”
Bushiri also criticized the media for allegedly undermining Chris Brown's ministry in order to promote his promotion, and said that reporting on his followers as “brainwashed” has been a challenge. It was suggested that this contrasted with the positive portrayal of Mr. Brown's fans.
He also accused the media of trying to “unseat the gospel” while glorifying what he considers “evil.”
He concluded: “It's true that when you hate someone, even the most beautiful face of that person looks ugly. The South African media is trying to enthrone Chris Brown and dethrone Gospel. I happily wrote, “I'm being brainwashed,” but my followers labeled me as “brainwashed.” Soon the people of South Africa will wake up to the real challenge of hating God-man and celebrating evil. It's diabolical! ”
