For the first time in its 22-year history, the Durban Jazz Festival has been postponed.
The highly anticipated event was originally scheduled to be held at the Durban ICC on Thursday 26 December.

'Logistics challenges' behind postponement of Durban Jazz Festival
Organizers said in a statement that the event had been postponed due to “logistical issues.”
“This difficult decision was made in light of the logistical challenges that impacted event preparation and our ability to provide the world-class experience our attendees, artists, and partners deserve.”
The organizers also expressed their gratitude to the participants and performers for their continued support.
They have confirmed that efforts are being made to reschedule the event and new dates will be announced soon.
“We deeply value the enthusiasm of our patrons and the amazing artists scheduled to perform.
“We are actively working to set a new date and will provide updates as soon as possible,” the statement said.

Tickets and refunds
The festival team said purchased tickets will still be valid for the rescheduled event.
It added that refund options will also be available for those unable to attend the new dates.
Ticket prices range from R350 for the general public to R6,000 for VVIP.
“We will provide further details regarding the refund and rescheduling process soon.
“We look forward to celebrating the vibrant spirit of jazz with you soon.”
