Disaster management teams in KwaZulu-Natal have been put on high alert by Cogta MEC Thulasizwe Buthelezi ahead of severe weather predicted by the South African Weather Service (SAWS).
The warning predicts devastating rain from Monday, January 6 to Wednesday, January 8, raising concerns about potential flooding and damage across the state.
The bad weather comes a day after KZN experienced several days of temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius in the north and 36 degrees Celsius in Thekwini.
