African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa has assured residents of Khayelitsha and surrounding areas that the party will prioritize services for the people of the Western Cape.
Mr Ramaphosa said this could be achieved through the ANC's renewal program, which will ensure the party produces ethical and decisive leaders.
He was speaking at the party's January 8 manifesto at the Mandela Park sports complex in Khayelitsha.

Meanwhile, the South African National Civic Organization (SANCO) has pledged support to the ANC ahead of next year's local government elections.
SANCO said it was satisfied with the National Unity Government and its ideals, which were reminiscent of the country's first democratic elections in 1994.
SANCO president Richard Mukungo addressed the ANC in Khayelitsha.
“We appreciate the move by the ANC to take the opportunity to form a government of national unity and stabilize our country. As SANCO, we will continue to support the liberation movement. We will mobilize and we will begin mobilizing for the ANC's victory in the local government elections. ”
