The Political Parties of South Africa (BLF) on Wednesday stormed the Malawi embassy in Pretoria and delivered the #NottoBushiri extradition petition explaining why Prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife Mary will not receive a fair trial in South African courts. .
BLF leader Andile Mngsitama said his party believes that the police officers involved in Prophet Bushiri's case are in danger and are therefore not legitimate in handling the case, and that he cannot be given a fair trial in South Africa. He said that he strongly believed that he would not be accepted.
“He opened a corruption case against them. Instead of being arrested, they quickly staged a ruse and arrested Prophet Bushiri, covered up and also threatened him. This is not justice.” he said.
He added that as South Africans and politicians, he would not allow his fellow black people to be taken to a kangaroo court.
“What happened to us during apartheid must never happen again to black people in this country. I will fight against all such measures,” he said.
Mngsitama will meet with South Africa's former president Jacob Zuma this Saturday, but Zuma, like Prophet Bushiri, has refused to appear before the government-set Zondo commission, claiming it is unfair and unjust. ing.
Bushiri and his wife are scheduled to appear in court on Monday to begin the extradition hearing.
