DJ Zinhle is accused of exploiting fans by inflating the prices of Era handbags. According to several social media users, the bag was originally purchased from Chinese fast fashion brand Shein or a similar supplier.

This week, Zinhle unveiled some new items from its Era fashion accessories collection. A cute pink and black mini bucket bag was also included.
But one astute observer quickly noticed that the bag was almost identical to one found on fast fashion app Shein, minus the Era logo. To add insult to injury, the bag cost a third of what DJ sold.

“I'm just making girls who don't have R750 spend money on that Era logo,” the tweet claimed.
Unsurprisingly, many consumers using the X app were not impressed.

DJ Zinhle is not the only celebrity accused of deceiving the public. Galxboy founder Thathiso Dube has also been accused of rebranding products sourced in China.
