Manchester City have acquired midfielder Laura Blindkilde Brown from Aston Villa.
City are understood to have paid £200,000 for the 20-year-old, who passed a successful medical on Tuesday.
Blindkilled Brown was one of three players Gareth Taylor's side signed on deadline day, along with Peamount United's Durham forward Poppy Pritchard and defender Tara O'Hanlon.
All three players signed three-and-a-half year contracts.
Blindkilled Brown is expected to replace the injured Jill Lord. I tore my anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) last week.
The England youth international has made over 50 appearances for Carla Ward's side and has started eight of Villa's 12 Women's Super League games this season.
“I'm really excited to be here. This is a big step in my career, but I'm really excited to see what happens,” said Blind Kilde Brown.
“This is a new challenge for me. Of course I've spent much of my career at Villa, but it's something new and I'll be training with some of the best players in the world.
“I think the style of play here suits me very well. Hopefully, this will help me grow my career further.”
City are aiming for their first title in eight years, with a three-point difference from leaders Chelsea.
Villa, who sit eighth in the table after a disappointing start to the season, have lost versatile England international Lucy Parker to a long-term ankle injury this year.
