Makazole Mapimpi's philanthropy is truly amazing. Through his foundation, he is dedicated to combating gender-based violence and supporting education and sport. He recently renovated a former high school in Tuek, Tsolomka, Eastern Cape province.
Buco Timber City marketing manager Boitumelo Mphelo said he was happy to lend a helping hand and see the project come to fruition. “We are here today to hand over the keys to Mapimpi Secondary School’s new building. We have partnered with Ryobi to provide building materials and construction materials to the school children. Bukko , we love building community and support education,” Mphelo said.

She also revealed that the students were also sponsored with stationery. Meanwhile, principal Jim Mbabaza said the school would benefit from the future as the old school was too “crowded”. “I can see the difference now,” he said.
Details of the renovated school
Bucco also partnered with Ryobi to see the project through to completion. Ryobi director Richard Stevens said their role in the project was to provide funding and raise funds to rebuild the school. “It's been a great honor and privilege to work with the community. It's been a real eye-opener,” Stevens said.

“When Ryobi set out to tell the life story of Springbok Makazole Mapimpi, we didn’t want it to end there. We looked to the Twek people where the two-time world champion grew up. I wanted to bring about visible change,” Ryobi wrote on Instagram.
“We decided to renovate his alma mater, Jim Mbabaza High School, which had previously fallen into disrepair, to restore previously unusable classrooms to a place where learners can thrive,” Ryobi said. continued.
