The league said a moment of silence will be observed in Lee Mkhonza's honours at all matches this week in the DStv Premiership, Motsepe Foundation Championship and DStv Disc Challenge.
Mkonza passed away early Tuesday morning at the age of 44.
In a statement released that day, the family said Mkonza died of kidney failure. A disease he has battled for years.
