Dapper and swagger: EFF leader Julius Malema has given a glimpse of his son Ratanang's classy Matrix dance.
Proud father and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema took to social media this week to share footage of his eldest son Ratanan performing a matric dance.
The controversial politician shared several photos and videos on Instagram. From helping his son prepare and polish his big night out to playing chauffeur in a Mercedes G Wagon worth R3.3 million.
The video clip also shows Ratanan, or affectionately known as 'Rati', meeting his schoolmates at an ultra-luxurious mansion before going out dancing with his glamorous partner.

Ratanan, who turned 17 last October, attends St. David's Marist Inanda, an exclusive Catholic boys' school in Johannesburg. He is the son of a 43-year-old politician and his former partner Maropeng Lamolare.
According to the school's fee structure, Malema pays approximately R170,000 in total for his son's school year, or R16,000 per month.
Malema has two sons, Munjezi, 8, and Kopano, 6, with Mantwa Matlala, whom he married in 2014.

In the video, Malema helps Rati with his tie and classy black suit, and family members and one of his son's friends also appear.
The EFF leader (whose eldest son also shares his passion for DJing) captioned the post:
I decided to become a father and have put in a lot of effort.
“Yesterday was a memorable and exciting experience. I was honored to help my eldest son prepare for the Matrix dance and become his driver,” he continued.
“Our success is primarily due to the fact that our ancestors did not teach us to envy, hate and be jealous.”
Malema concluded his post by saying, “I am so proud of how well the event was executed. My son did a great job.”

“My son commands a battalion at school” – Julius Malema
In October last year, Malema expressed his excitement that his eldest son had taken up a leadership position at a private school like his father and led a “battalion” in singing the “battle cry.”
The politician posted a video of the moment with the caption:
“Leadership begins with taking small steps. Always know that the path to leadership is a gradual process built on step-by-step actions, discipline, and resilience.” Similarly, my son also commands a battalion at his school🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾.”
