Wales captain Aaron Ramsey has been sidelined for a month with injury and will miss the Euro 2024 play-offs.
The Cardiff City midfielder was thought to have suffered a minor muscle strain in his calf, but manager Errol Brut revealed it was a more serious tendon issue.
Wales host Finland in the Euro 2024 play-off semi-final on March 21, with a potential final at home to Poland or Estonia five days later.
“They are [medical staff] They said it would be four to six weeks,” Bulut said.
“I received a report that it was a muscle strain, but yesterday I heard that it was not a muscle strain, but a tendon.
“He will probably be available at the end of March.”
Ramsey made just two substitute appearances for Cardiff this month after returning from a knee injury that had kept him sidelined since September.
Asked if the injury, sustained in training, would rule him out of next month's play-off semi-final against Wales, Brutt replied: “Yes,” before adding: “This is disappointing for us and for Ramsey. '' he added.
“I will support him in any way I can. I understand how he feels. It's not easy for a player to be out for five months, come back and play, and go from almost nothing to injury. .
“He's disappointed too, but I understand it's injury after injury.
“But I will support him until the end. I hope he returns as soon as possible. He has the quality we need.
“He's an important player for Cardiff and he's an important player for Wales. He's a loss for any coach if you don't have that quality on the field.”
