ActionSA said the appointment of Forum 4 service delivery leader Mbahale Kekana as deputy leader is effective immediately.
Forum 4 Service Delivery has merged with ActionSA and will contest the 2026 local government elections under ActionSA.
The announcement was made in Johannesburg today by ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba.
“Therefore, ladies and gentlemen, I am very pleased to carry out the duties of the ActionSA Senate and other bodies, and to welcome Dr. Kekana as Vice-President of ActionSA with immediate effect. And I think you all agree with me because our organization, both ActionSA and a service delivery forum, needs a constitutional amendment to have a vice president for our country. Because we recognize it.
Formed in 2015, Forum 4 Service Delivery currently holds 38 municipal seats in five states.
ActionSA national president Michael Beaumont, also speaking in Johannesburg, said both organizations would now contest next year's elections under one big green umbrella.
“From now on, these organizations will campaign under the banner and identity of ActionSA. We will campaign together and contest the 2026 local government elections as ActionSA. The constitution has been amended to ensure that the position of vice president is established.
