Some concerned citizens have taken to Twitter to question why the petition is trending when there is no concrete reason for it to be on the trending list.
Some Twitter users believe the petition is about kicking South Africa out of Africa, while others believe it is for other countries.

The petition appears to have been started by several Twitter users. Calling for rapid inclusion on South Africa's national register of sex offenders Africa.
However, other Twitter users who wanted their posts to trend settled on using “Africa – Sign the Petition.”
