Some concerned citizens have taken to Twitter to question why the petition is trending when there is no concrete reason for it to be on the trending list.
Some Twitter users believe the petition is about kicking South Africa out of Africa, while others believe it is for other countries.
“what Africa – Sign the Petition “For what? To be kicked out of Africa? The continent uniting against us? Or to kick Nigeria out? That would make sense,” wrote one Twitter user.

However, other Twitter users who wanted their posts to trend settled on using “Africa – Sign the Petition.”
