AKA passed away in February 2023.
AKA, real name Keenan Forbes, was shot dead in Durban along with his friend Thebelo Tibus Motsoane in February last year.
Seven suspects were subsequently arrested, with five of the accused being denied bail for planning and carrying out the murder of AKA and his friends.
The group are believed to have planned the murder, arranged to acquire a Mercedes Benz and guns for the crime, and kept watch over AKA before he was shot.
State's Attorney Lawrence Gava presented compelling evidence, including phone records and security camera footage, showing the defendants were involved in a murder plot.
