The BMW X2 is the first vehicle to introduce the Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) vehicle concept for the premium compact segment and is currently on sale in South Africa.
However, the BMW iX2 will not be offered in South Africa.
The new BMW X2 has a distinctive and visually expressive design that clearly differentiates it from the brand's compact sports activity vehicle (SAV), the BMW X1. This makes it instantly recognizable as a purebred Sports Activity Coupe (SAC). Dynamically extending lines and generous surface treatment are also features of the new model.
Compared to its predecessor, the new BMW X2 has increased its overall length by 194 mm to 4,554 mm, width by 21 mm to 1,845 mm, and height by 64 mm to 1,590 mm. In addition, the longer wheelbase and wider track provide space for both five seats and the trunk. The new X2 has a maximum payload capacity of 560 to 1,470 liters, depending on the model variant.
The model-specific upright front end of the new BMW X2 exudes confidence and presence. Its distinctive elements are the striking LED headlights and the almost hexagonal BMW kidney grille. For the first time in the premium compact segment, BMW Iconic Glow Contour Lighting can be specified as an option. Adaptive LED headlights with glare-free matrix high beams are also on the options list.
The roofline flows in an uninterrupted path to the rear end, creating a slim coupe-shaped silhouette and proportions in the characteristic style of BMW's SAC. At the rear, noticeably flared wheel arches and muscular shoulders emerge up front. The horizontal contours of the model-specific rear light design further enrich the sporting flavor, as do the gurney-style spoiler and eye-catching rear apron.
M-specific design features, such as the two pairs of exhaust tailpipes integrated into the rear apron, give the BMW X2 M35i xDrive a particularly dynamic aura. The M Sport package is standard on his 18i models in South Africa and brings similarly aerodynamically optimized exterior details.
The options list also includes the M Sport Package Pro, which adds extended M high-gloss Shadowline exterior trim, M Light Shadowline, M rear spoiler, M Sport braking system with red-painted calipers, and more.
Customers can choose from two solid and 11 metallic paint finishes for the exterior of their new BMW X2, including the new Fire Red Metallic variant. Also available are his two frozen shades from BMW Individual and a wide range of BMW Individual special paint finishes.
