The National Prosecuting Authority's (NPA) decision to drop all charges against Molemo “Jub Jub” Mahlokhanyane has exonerated not only him, but also podcaster MacGyver Mukwevo, popularly known as MacG.
In 2021, JubJub appeared on McG's podcast and claimed that actress Amanda DuPont was one of the girls he'd “yucked” in the past.
Du Pont shared her side of the controversial interview. In a video posted to her Instagram page, Du Pont claimed that Jub Jub had repeatedly raped her over a period of two years.

She filed a rape complaint against Maarohanye in February 2022.
talk CitizenMcG said he felt vindicated following the NPA's decision.
“Yes, I feel vindicated to some extent. But the vindication is mostly for JubJub, who was on our platform to speak the truth. For me, it's not so much personal vindication because I wasn't afraid of the vicious and hateful things that she made against me,” McG said. Citizen.

Influencing the brand
He claimed the podcast had lost sponsors as a result of the furore.
“Amanda's comments have had a huge impact on the brand. The cancellations that occurred after she spoke are still being discussed in meetings and continue to impact future revenue – not just because of past losses but the ongoing impact to our business,” McG said.
“If she had taken a more responsible approach rather than reacting emotionally on livestream and trying to disparage Both Jub Jub and I, we would have been much further along,” MacG said.
DuPont had not responded to a request for comment at time of publication. Updates will be posted as they become available.
In the latest episode of Podcasts and Chill McG claims he tried to sue the actress over her comments, but the case was dismissed.
DuPont served court papers on McG after his lawyers subpoenaed him, apologized for his comments and requested a “roundtable discussion.”
In legal documents circulated on social media, DuPont's legal representatives said the actress was refusing to apologize.
