African National Congress (ANC) eThekwini deputy general secretary Nkosenhle Madlala said he was confident the party's votes in eThekwini were intact.
Mr Madlala made the comments today at a wreath-laying ceremony at the grave of late ANC president Langaribalele Dube in Inanda, where former president Thabo Mbeki was campaigning.

Deputy Secretary eThekwini also said he was confident the ANC would do well in the region despite the emergence of the newly formed uMkhonto weSizwe party.
“I want to focus on the ANC's message because the ANC is the only party that has a plan to liberate this country and has a vision to take this country. Many political parties will be revived and many will contest elections.
“I have no problem with that. I don't want to talk about them. All I can say is that the ANC vote is intact in this region,” Madlala added.
