Nceba Faku, an African National Congress (ANC) stalwart from the Eastern Cape, says he is glad the party is working to right its wrongs.
This took place as the party celebrated its 113th anniversary and reflected on its progress thus far.
ANC officials across the country are attending various events as part of the celebrations.
These events will culminate in a celebration to be held in Khayelitsha, Western Cape on Saturday 8th January.th A statement will be sent to you.
Faku said the party leadership was back to square one.

Former Bay Metro Mayor Nelson Mandela Bay Metro Mayor Nelson Mandela Bay Metro said the party's decline in votes in the 2024 election was due to the party's longstanding failure to address challenges facing South Africans, including crime.

The Eastern Cape is home to some of the party's founding members. Faku says the state is rich in party history.
“Many of the founding leaders of the ANC actually came from the Eastern Cape. They were educated during their academic and intellectual development and learned about the ANC, Fort Hare products, Hilltown products, etc. You Oliver Tambo, Nelson Mandela, Dr. Gubusana, and many of these leaders.
