Celebrated actor Anelisa Fewa recently spoke about her role in Showmax's new courtroom drama. Law, love and betrayal.
Phewa plays the role of James Makaula in the show and stars alongside some of the top local actors including Dineo Rasedile, Nimrod Nkosi, Pearl Modiadie and Siya Sepotokele.

First shoot with Pearl Modiadie
Talk about work experience Law, love and betrayalFewa said she was initially nervous about working with Modiadie.
“During my test shoot with Pearl, I was so nervous that she had to put her hand on my chest. I remember her asking me, 'Why is your heart beating? Are you nervous?' And I said, 'Yes,' and she said, 'Thank goodness, me too.' From there, we were able to put each other at ease.
“When actors break up, there are so many political issues, so it's very tense when they get back together.”

Fewa's company, Dramatic, Law, love and betrayal.
He said they collaborate with shows and institutions such as the University of Witwatersrand and the University of Johannesburg to provide workshops for aspiring actors.
“We are a consultancy for actors. We help with character development, expression, scene preparation and so on. We are not a school but we create a space for actors to improve themselves,” Fewa explained.
What's in the set? Law, love and betrayal Fewa said the show is unlike any other, as it is a blend of local flavour and international standards.
“It's exciting to see local stuff looking so good. It's a big thing to see someone as successful as me wearing a suit in Sandton,” he said.
Law, love and betrayal is currently streaming on Showmax, with new episodes every Thursday.
