ATLANTA — Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) has once again been named the world's busiest airport, according to the latest rankings released by the Airports Council International.
Atlanta Airport has held the top spot every year for more than 20 years, with the exception of 2020. According to the data, ATL will welcome 104.7 million passengers in his 2023, an increase of 11.7% over the previous year.
Although the airport has experienced rapid growth, it is still struggling to reach pre-pandemic levels, with total passenger numbers 5% below 2019. Passenger numbers peaked in 2019, with more than 110 million passengers using the airport.

Airport General Manager Balram “B” Beodari attributes this achievement to the teamwork among the airport staff.

The top five busiest airports include Dubai International Airport, Tokyo International Airport, London Heathrow Airport, and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
