Since Jafta's death, Mama Buyiswa, head of the family, has been tasked with facilitating unity between the Bala and Jafta families.
Months after the death of Sebenzile Jafta, father-in-law of the Bala siblings, TV station Mzansi Magic has announced the return of the reality TV show. Rose family.
“The first season Rose family “'Bab' Jafta' has been a huge success and has been well received by our viewers. We look forward to the second season. At the same time, we are saddened by the loss of Bab' Jafta,” said Shirley Adnisi, Director, Local Entertainment Channels, MultiChoice.

Even though Jafta's marriage to his mother was not supported by his brothers, they wrote heartfelt messages after his death.
“It is with deep sadness that the Bala family announces the passing of our beloved father, Sebenzile Jafta. He passed away this morning, February 10,” Loyiso said in a statement.
“Tatjahta left us suddenly after going to hospital on Thursday evening. Against our wishes, he did not return. We are grateful for the time we spent with him. May his soul rest in peace.”
Revival of the show: Bala and Jafta unite
This TV show remained on the trending list after each episode of its first season, thanks to its dramatic twists.
Since Jafta's death, family matriarch Mama Buyiswa has made it her mission to foster unity between the Bala and Jafta families as a way of remembering his memory.
This includes having to provide for their children, especially their grandchildren, something Zwai and Pinky disagree with.
The siblings were not informed of their mother's marriage to Jafta and were not particularly interested as he was a friend of their late biological father.
The siblings are looking to buy a family home, and as a family they are united in wanting to buy a house for their mother, but the overarching question remains: how to work out the financial side of this plan?
Also expected this season will be the decision to bring back the Bala Brothers after not collaborating for years.
While some families see the group reunion as an opportunity to help fund a new family home, others have other ideas.
The new season will premiere on Sunday 4 August at 19:00 on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161.
