Kylian Mbappé scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain overcame a first-leg deficit to beat Barcelona and advance to the Champions League semi-finals.
Luis Enrique's team will face Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals. Victory over Atletico Madrid 5-4 on aggregate A thrilling encounter in Germany.
The visitors began the match with the brighter of the two sides at the Estadi Olympique Lluis Company, the temporary home of five-time champions Barcelona.
However, it was the Catalan team that saw Lamine Yamal break through down the right flank and beat Nuno Mendes, allowing Rafinha to score from close range.
At this point, the task ahead for PSG was daunting, with the crowd having to score two goals just to equalize on aggregate, with the crowd furiously protesting.
However, things started to fall apart when Barça defender Ronald Araujo received a straight red card for clipping Bradley Barcola outside the area, denying him a clear scoring opportunity.
Araujo appeared to insist that he was not the last one on as his centre-back partner Pau Kvarsi was covering, but the video assistant referee stuck to the referee's on-field decision and Barcelona scored 10 points. I ended up playing for 60 minutes with people.
Ousmane Dembele took advantage of that advantage and smashed Barcola's whipped ball across the six-yard box and into the roof of the net against his former team.
Given acres of space on the edge of Barcelona's box, Vicinha fired a sweet shot into the bottom corner nine minutes after the break to make it 2-1 on the night, 4-4 on aggregate.
PSG's remarkable recovery continued as Joao Cancelo brought down Dembele in the box and Mbappé converted the spot-kick to put his side into the lead.
Mbappe, who had been silent for the majority of the two games, stepped up in the 89th minute and found the back of the net to cap off a highly entertaining pair of quarter-finals.
The two first legs of the semi-final will be played on separate nights on April 30th and May 1st, with the second leg taking place on May 7th and 8th.
Barcelona is not as good as PSG's show character
Since being acquired by Qatar Sports Investments in 2011, PSG have won nine Ligue 1 titles, but have failed to achieve their owner's main ambition of winning the Champions League.
They reached the final in 2020 but lost to Bayern Munich, and since then they have been eliminated once in the semi-finals and in the last 16 twice.
After Rafinha's goal, it looked like a familiar story would unfold again as Barcelona trailed away by a total of two goals.
And with Mbappé set to move to Real Madrid this summer, hopes of a dream farewell in which the French striker would lead the team to European glory were fading.
However, the tide changed after Araujo's sending off, and PSG took the lead as Barcelona's chances of reaching the semi-finals for the first time in five years disappeared.
Barça manager Xavi was sent off immediately after Vicinha's goal, and another member of Barça's backroom staff was also shown a red card as referee Istvan Kovac handed out cards at will in a hectic game. Ta.
PSG took control in the second half and had a chance to take the lead when Dembele volleyed a few inches wide of the far post, but Fabian Ruiz's left-footed shot went wide of the target. Ta.
Luis Enrique said before the match that he was confident his team could turn things around, and with fans in the crowd visibly shaken by the missed chance, he confirmed what had become a difficult night for Barcelona. He said he made good use of it.
