Police Minister Bheki Cele confirmed on Tuesday February 27 that six people had been arrested in connection with the murders of the late AKA and Tibbs.

Alias - Real name Keenan Jarryd Forbes was assassinated on February 10, 2023. The slain rapper was gunned down on a Florida road along with his long-time friend Tebelo 'Tibs' Motsoane.
Cele said those involved in the double murder have been arrested and are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

on monday, Swatini era Members of the Royal Eswatini Police Force (REPS) reported on Friday that they had discovered two suspects hiding in their country. The two South African men are said to be brothers, aged 28 and 29.
Provincial Secretary Lucky Mkhwanazi said the other men involved in the incident had different roles on the day the two were killed..
“As the Minister said, six suspects have been arrested and detained in connection with the murder of two people: Mr Keenan Forbes, also known as AKA, and Mr Thebelo Motsoane, also known as Tibbs. These six people played different roles during the incident,'' Mkhwanazi said.
“We have a coordinator who is basically the mastermind of the whole operation and he is in custody. And there are two shooters that I have seen on social media as well. We have two observers and one of them “People were observing Mr Forbes and his friends inside the restaurant,” Mkhwanazi added.
Other suspects are also said to have had control of firearms and getaway vehicles.
