Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Bruce has commented on the impressive form of Orlando Pirates rising star Lelebohile Mofokeng.
The incredibly talented teenager took the Premier Soccer League (PSL) by storm after making his first-team debut late last season.
Many fans were hoping to see Mofokeng's name included in the Blues' latest Bafana Bafana squad for the upcoming friendly match between Andorra and Algeria.
That should not have been the case for Mofokeng, who arrived as a high-profile signing from the Blues squad, but the Belgian coach commented on the form of Orlando Pirates' rising star.

“For me, another player to keep an eye on going forward is Mofokeng. This is a player with potential,” said Hugo Bruce. Soccer Laduma.
“So, to see that from the young players in the Orlando Pirates team, I can only be happy because as a national team coach, I have seen what happened in AFCON.
“Those weren't boring games either. From the first moment, everyone is playing as if their lives depended on it.
“They aim for 100%. Perhaps even more so, if you are not used to doing it in the PSL, it is very difficult to do it at international level. That is why we need to raise the level of the PSL .”
In other news, Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Bruce has praised Orlando Pirates legend Jomo Sono. The Belgian leader awarded the icon the bronze medal of the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
Hugo Bruce was on hand to present the Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana legend with a bronze medal during a visit to the South African Football Association headquarters.

“This is a big surprise for me,” Orlando Pirates legend Jomo Sono told SAFA Media Department.
“This is a big gesture from coach Hugo Bruce and SAFA. I was surprised. This means a lot to me. I will cherish this medal.”
